Program: Welcome back members and visitors!?? At our kickoff meeting we’ll have the annual State of the City presentation by our mayor, Mark Denman. He will review the past year and talk about what is in store for next year. This is always a very important way to stay in touch with our community. Be sure to invite our Nassau Bay neighbors and friends to this meeting.
Program: What do you think of when you hear the word “serenity?” Do you think of gardening? Master Gardener, Tish Reustle, will inspire us to bring peace to our garden with her talk “Serenity Gardens.” Those of us who have gone to the Galveston Master Gardeners demonstration gardens will have seen the one she created there. Many garden club members know Tish as the wife of exercise teacher, Jim Reustle.
Program: Show, Tell, and Take Home for the Holidays. Liz Wozencraft, well-known Federation presenter, came recommended as someone who “lives for holiday home decor!” She will demonstrate making several items and then they will be added to our monthly drawing for prizes. You may be a winner, so don’t miss this fun presentation!
Program: Landscaping for Nassau Bay will be the topic that Mary Karish will present to us in January in plenty of time for spring planning. We can learn from her wide experience what designs and plantings might help us to have sustainable gardens and plants that will go the distance and still be beautiful.
